Green Smoothie Bowl {RECIPE}

The Story

Happy weekend everyone!!!! Yesterday I hopped on the phone with @michelleaddisonstyle and she admitted that the holidays, although wonderful, have been tough and caused her to fall off track with her food. Weeks of Christmas craziness as a personal stylist and events have made it tough for her to keep food at the top of her mind, meal prep, and just generally stay on track.

She admitted to me that it hasn’t been easy. She’s felt her health suffer, her energy levels dip significantly and her cravings come back with a vengeance.

I think many of us are feeling this way after the holidays, so I asked Michelle to hop on a video with me New Year’s Day so we can chat through this subject, how to avoid these hurdles for future and how to get back on track. Michelle will be joining us from Hawaii that day but we decided that will be the perfect day to bring some good tips your way. Hope you can join us live on Facebook at noon NYs day!

The recipe

Smoothies and smoothie bowls are one of my fave go-to’s for a meal or snack! This is an excellent way to stay satiated, hydrated, and balance your macros with quality ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 cups of kale or spinach
  • 1/4 of an avocado
  • 1/2 of a banana
  • 1.5 cups of almond of coconut milk (to desired consistency)
  • 1-2 cups of ice
  • to taste hemp hearts, apple, berries

Preparation

Preparation is super easy, simply:

  1. Blend all the above ingredients.
  2. Sprinkle the smoothie with hemp-hearts, berries, apples, and whatever else you want.
