Superfoods To Boost Your Immune System
Are you adding superfoods into your daily diet? Superfoods are loaded with vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants. Antioxidants help to get rid of free radicals that cause aging and chronic diseases in our bodies. There are several superfoods that you can add into your routine, such as Acai Berry, Moringa and Spirulina.
Acai Berry contains the highest amount of antioxidants, which prevents damage to our bodies - glands, organs, and tissues, including our skin. Consuming acai berry has been known to improve our cognitive health and improve brain function as well. Plus, it can reduce the risk of heart attack and regulate blood sugar.
Moringa is the ground leaf from a tree and is basically known as a multivitamin, mineral complex with protein and essential fats…basically a complete food. It contains high amounts of antioxidants, boosts energy, and regulates blood sugar and blood pressure.
Spirulina is rich in iron, and magnesium. It’s known to suppress bad bacteria, such as e-coli in the digestion tract to promote healthy digestion and proper bowel function. Spirulina is great for anti-aging, helps protect against infection and increase absorption of nutrients from foods.
Our very own in house VIP naturopathic doctor, Dr. Terri Van Alstyne, joined myself for a LIVE training last week to discuss superfoods and share her Chaga Reishi Mushroom Elixir recipe, which I cannot wait to try! Learn more about the superfoods here and how they can benefit your health.
